Junqueira Beachwear Logo

Logo created for Junquei­ra Beach­wear, a beachwear brand from Ribeirão Preto. The basis for creating the logo was to find out the origin of the surname "Junqueira", which comes from the word "junco" (or "reed" in english), a genus of plant found in flooded areas that has cylindrical and resistant stems, such as sugar cane and bamboo. Some species of reed are also found on beaches and are used in the manufacture of beach mats, bags and hats.

The logo symbol features a woman in swimsuit enjoying the beach weather. The letter "J" has been added with some leaves to reference some species of reed.

A calligraphic font that conveyed elegance was chosen, to contrast with the other, which is more neutral and modern.

Taking advantage of the details of the symbol and the letter "J", in addition to the two versions created, there are three more that are symbol-only versions focusing on these details.
