Logo created for TrendTopic. Inspired by current trending topics, this logo was created to be highly adaptable. With this in mind, the standard logo was created with a rainbow of colors to represent different topics, as well as to allow the use of different colors in the identity, to give the brand a lively appearance. The dark blue of the circle was chosen to give the brand a serious look in contrast with the colors around the circle.
There are 10 colors in the logo symbol. They were positioned to simulate a gradient when seen from a distance, but up close, they are separate colors, each using a distorted shape of a circle, with the exception of the dark blue.
The idea is to be able to use these shapes to compose the look of any artwork. Maybe even mix the colors. But you can also play with more random rounded shapes, the "amoeba" shapes.

Inside the circle, a symbol of two "t"s was created to form a hashtag, inspired by the infinite number of trending topics that can exist. The entire symbol could be customized as desired (it could be used with the full logo, but it is preferable to use the symbol alone).

Initially, the colors would already have an impact on customization, limited to the 10 colors of the original symbol. Thus, based on the contrast between two colors, the symbol can be adapted to different situations.
The shape of the symbol can also be changed. By default, each color of the symbol is a circle with its own distorted shape, and these can be used as circles of the symbol. The same applies to the outline version of the symbol.
In the examples in the next image, only the shapes were customized, also changing the color. But the hashtag can also have its color changed, respecting a good contrast between them.

For much more specific customization, the symbol could be played around with, adding elements around and/or even on top of it. This could be used on a web page, for example, where products of a specific theme are displayed. The logo would "play around", adapting to the theme.
Note that the color palette was limited to the 10 colors of the standard symbol. The gradients are also limited to the use of two colors from this palette.
I also preferred to leave the blue of the symbol's circle in a blue tone, to highlight the elements around it more, but the color and shape of the symbol can also be changed, as long as the elements do not disappear.

In addition to the standard logo, I created an alternative outline-only version, simpler versions and also monochromatic ones:

I also created negative versions of the logo:
